MEDIA RELEASE - MACROC CEO Breakfast Forum April 2009

21 April 2009

Over 100 business leaders are expected to attend the first MACROC CEO Breakfast Forum of 2009 to be held on Tuesday, 28 April at the Ferguson Art Gallery, Camden Civic Centre, Camden, starting at 7.30 am and finishing at 9.15 am.

MACROC President Cr Anoulack Chanthivong says “It will be an excellent opportunity for business leaders to network and more importantly to hear the guest speaker Brad Mathews, Head of the Hill Ross Financial Services Investment & Research Team talk about the Prospects of Macarthur’s Economic Recovery”.

MACROC in collaboration with the NSW Department of Environment and Climate Change (DECC) will also launch a suite of energy efficiency programs for businesses at the Breakfast Forum.

The Energy Efficiency for Small Business Program offers an energy assessment, a tailored action plan and a rebate of up to $5,000 for making energy efficiency improvements that save money and reduce the impact on the environment. This is open to businesses that spend up to about $20,000 a year on electricity or employ up to about 10 people.

Larger businesses can register for DECC’s Sustainability Advantage Energy Saver program and become more energy efficient.

“I encourage businesses in Macarthur to participate in this exciting initiative that should help them lower their power bills and reduce carbon pollution", said MACROC President Cr Anoulack Chanthivong.

"I am also delighted that the DECC program augments MACROC’s Symmetry Sustainable Business Program", said Cr Anoulack Chanthivong.

Admission is $35 per person and registration can be made by calling MACROC on 4645 4937 or by completing the registration form that can be downloaded from
