MEDIA RELEASE - Western Sydney: Football's Heartland

November 2013

The business community of Macarthur are invited to attend the final MACROC CEO Breakfast for 2013 being held at the Campbelltown Catholic Club on the morning of Tuesday 3 December.

“For our final MACROC CEO Breakfast we will be joined by Lyall Gorman. As many of you will know, Lyall is the Executive Chairman of the NRMA Insurance Western Sydney Wanderers, the Hyundai A-League’s newest football club,” says MACROC President Cr Penny Fischer.

“Since his appointment in May 2012 Lyle Gorman has shaped a Team that had a twelve game winning streak taking them all the way to the Grand Final in April 2013! And Western Sydney fans have embraced the Team with remarkable passion, generating a huge demand for tickets for Wanderers matches. Mr Gorman says Western Sydney is football’s heartland. To find out why join MACROC for breakfast on the 3rd December.”

Councillor Fischer encourages local business owners to attend the morning. “The MACROC Breakfast Forums are designed as networking events for business enterprises of all sizes. I would encourage you to join us for the final CEO Breakfast for the year at the Campbelltown Catholic Club on the morning of 3 December to meet with other business owners, enjoy breakfast and hear how the Western Sydney Wanderers have achieved their extraordinary success and what lessons businesses could potentially take from it.”
