MEDIA RELEASE - MACROC congratulates Macarthur companies for their success in 2008 Western Sydney Industry Awards

Last Wednesday business leaders from across Western Sydney attended the 2008 Western Sydney Industry Awards Finalists' Presentation.
Held at the Castle Grand, Castle Hill, the event was hosted by the Hon. Barbara Perry, MP, the Minister for Western Sydney and showcased the businesses from across Western Sydney who are competing for this years highly prestigious Western Sydney Industry Awards.
Local Macarthur businesses were well represented on the morning:
Camden company, Carrington Centennial Care Ltd was a finalist in Regional Excellence, Outstanding Service (Large Business), as well as in Excellence in Business Practice, Customer Service (Large Business).
Ingleburn companies, Reln and Ice Tech, were also announced as Finalists.
Reln Pty Ltd was a finalist in 2 categories: Global Excellence, Most Outstanding Large Business as well as in Excellence in Innovation, Innovative Process or Technology (Large Business).
Ice Tech Director Mr John Martin was a finalist in Entrepreneur of the Year.
MACROC President, Councillor Rob Elliott said, "I would like to congratulate these businesses from our Region that have proved themselves to be companies of excellence and have now moved to the next level in the 2008 Western Sydney Industry Awards. These Awards set a high benchmark and to have reached finalist level is an achievement in its own right."
"The Macarthur Region is home to some of the best businesses in NSW, and indeed Australia! These Awards provide well deserved recognition for businesses of excellence and in doing so also provide them with new market opportunities," says Cr Elliott.
"I wish these Macarthur businesses continued success and hope to see them on stage with the other winning companies at the 2008 Gala Dinner on 23 May".
